What the Biometric Access Control is, and who it suits

The Biometric Access Control is a type of access control & security used across offices, factories, campuses and parking facilities. It is built to order at our Neemrana plant, installed and commissioned by our own engineers, and supported afterwards with spares and maintenance. See the full Access Control & Security range, the sectors we serve, or every product line.

Where the Biometric Access Control is typically installed
  • Factory and office main entrances
  • Warehouse and stores access points
  • Parking entries with vehicle identification
  • Campus and multi-building sites
  • Server rooms and restricted areas
  • Attendance-controlled shop floors
What to send us for an accurate quote
  • Number of doors, lanes or entry points to control
  • Approximate number of users or vehicles
  • Reader type: RFID, biometric or face recognition
  • Any integration needed with existing attendance or ERP systems
  • Power and network availability at each point
  • Indoor or outdoor mounting

Send these with your enquiry and an engineer replies with a drawing and a written delivery date, rather than a generic response. Talk to an engineer →

Applications

Where the Biometric Access Control fits

Where the credential must be the person: server rooms, cash handling areas, controlled stores, R&D areas and any door where a borrowed card would defeat the point. Fingerprint, face and palm modes are available, and multi-factor combines biometrics with a card or PIN for higher-security doors.

Choosing

Biometric Access Control vs the alternatives

Against cards, biometrics cannot be lent, lost or left at home, which is exactly the gap they close. The trade-offs are real: reads are slower than a card tap, dirty or worn fingers fail more often in industrial settings, and enrolment takes staff time. On a high-throughput main entrance those costs add up, which is why many sites use cards at the perimeter and biometrics on the doors that matter.

Before you enquire

Specifying a Biometric Access Control

Tell us which doors genuinely need it rather than defaulting to all of them. Say what the working environment is, because dust, oil and gloves affect fingerprint reading and may point to face or palm. Confirm user numbers, whether multi-factor is required, and how enrolment will be managed as staff join and leave.

FAQs

Biometric Access Control: Frequently Asked Questions

Which biometric mode should I choose?
Fingerprint is the most economical and works well in clean environments. Face and palm suit sites where hands are gloved, dirty or wet, which describes a lot of industrial work. Tell us the environment and we will recommend rather than default.
Do fingerprint readers work with dirty or worn hands?
Less reliably, and it is worth being honest about that. In workshops, kitchens and sites where hands are oily or gloved, face or palm recognition is usually the better specification.
What is multi-factor and when is it needed?
Two credentials together, typically a biometric plus a card or PIN. It is specified where a single factor is not enough, such as cash rooms or controlled stores. For most internal doors it adds friction without adding much security.
Is it slower than a card?
Slightly, and on a busy entrance at shift change that adds up. Many sites use cards where throughput matters and biometrics on the specific doors where identity matters.
How is biometric data stored?
Systems typically store a mathematical template rather than an image of the finger or face. Tell us if your organisation has a policy on this, because it may influence which system is appropriate.
Which regions do you install and service in?
We install and service across India, with a strong on-ground presence in the NCR & Haryana corridor (Gurugram, Manesar, Bhiwadi, Neemrana, Bawal, Faridabad, Noida, Jhajjar, Bahadurgarh and Delhi) and the Gujarat belt (Ahmedabad, Sanand, Vithlapur and Mandal). See our Areas We Serve page for the full list.
Do you provide installation, spares and AMC?
Yes. We handle manufacture, installation, genuine spare parts and Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) nationwide, a single vendor for the full lifecycle of your access control & security.
Is the Biometric Access Control certified?
Our manufacturing is ISO 9001 certified and products are CE marked for clients who require it.
