Where the Telescopic Sliding Door fits
Telescopic doors exist for one reason: an opening that needs a wide clear passage but has no wall to park a full-width leaf against. A 2+2 arrangement nests leaves so they stack as they open, which suits narrow reveals, corridors, lift lobbies and retrofits into existing structures.
Telescopic Sliding Door vs the alternatives
Against a standard sliding door, telescopic leaves give a much wider clear opening for the same parked width, at the cost of more moving parts and a more complex operator. Where the wall beside the opening exists, a standard door is simpler and cheaper. Telescopic is the answer when the geometry leaves you no choice, not a default upgrade.
