PEB Structure vs the alternatives
Against conventional fabrication, PEB members are optimised so steel goes only where the structure needs it, which reduces weight and cost on a standard envelope and speeds erection considerably. The trade is flexibility: PEB works best on regular rectangular buildings, and unusual geometry erodes the advantage. Against concrete, steel is faster to erect and easier to extend.
